TTD units & rarity: what makes a unit valuable

Actualizado el julio de 2026

Units are the main tradeable

In Toilet Tower Defense you place units to hold the line, and units are the heart of trading. There's a huge cast — from Toilets to well-known units like Cameramen, Speakermen and Titans — and each one has a rarity tier. That tier sets a rough baseline for value, but it's only the starting point. What a unit can do and how hard it is to get matter just as much.

How the rarity tabs work

  • Every unit sits in a rarity tier, and on TradingKeep the browse tabs are ordered by community value, highest first.
  • A higher rarity tier usually means a higher baseline value, but not always.
  • Some OG units in lower tiers hold surprisingly high values, so a 'basic' tier can rank above a mid tier.
  • Two units in the same tier can be worth very different amounts once demand and exclusivity are factored in.

Why exclusivity often beats rarity

The units that hold the highest values in TTD are usually the event and exclusive ones that can no longer be obtained. Once an event ends, no new copies enter the game, so supply is frozen while demand keeps climbing. That's why an event-limited unit can out-value a unit from a higher rarity tier that's still farmable.

The high end of the market

  • Event and limited units that are no longer obtainable tend to sit at the very top.
  • Shiny (golden) versions of popular units carry a premium over the normal version.
  • Units that are strong in the current meta stay in high demand.
  • A Duped copy drops far down the list no matter how rare the base unit is.

Reading a unit before you trade

  • Check the rarity tier for a baseline, then check the community value list for the real number.
  • Ask whether the unit is event-exclusive or still obtainable — that changes a lot.
  • Confirm whether it's Shiny (worth more) or Duped (worth far less).
  • Run the trade through the WFL calculator to see if the swap actually lands Fair or better.
