Trading rules
Raise Animals lets you hatch, raise, and trade animals. Update 2.5 added a mutual trade window: open the Trade menu, send another player a request, and both sides place Animals or Lassos and press Accept to swap. Trading unlocks after about 5 hours of playtime and works in private servers too. Only animals and Lassos change hands — the Cash and Rubies currencies can't go in the window — so values are community reference points, not prices. A handful of event or unobtainable animals are marked non-tradeable and shown here for reference only.

In Raise Animals, only two things ever cross the trade window: the animals you hatch and raise, and the lassos you catch them with. Cash and Rubies — the currencies you earn in the zoo — can never be placed in a trade, so every deal is a straight item-for-item swap of animals and lassos, judged on what each side brings rather than on any currency total. Trading arrived with Update 2.5 and unlocks only after roughly five hours of playtime, the game's built-in barrier against throwaway alt accounts. From there you trade through a mutual window: open the Trade menu on the left of your screen, pick a player from the list of everyone in your server, and send a request with the dual-arrow button. When they accept, both of you place your animals or lassos, check the other side, and both hit Accept before anything changes hands. It works in private servers too, and it deliberately replaced the old "gift scamming" era, when handing an animal over on a promise was how people got robbed.
What lifts one animal above another starts with its rarity band, which climbs from Basic through Rare, Epic, and Legendary up to Exclusive and the top-tier Secret. On top of that sit the variant tiers — Rainbow and Shine — which mark a far scarcer version of an animal and pull much more interest than the plain form, so a Shine or Rainbow of the same creature is effectively its own collectible. Scarcity does the rest: event and holiday animals like Rudolf, Krampus, or Raikura Kirin stop entering the game once their event ends, and some are flagged non-tradeable entirely, so the tradeable ones hold demand long after they're gone. Lassos carry their own standing too, since the rarer catching tools are chase pieces in their own right.
Even with a safe mutual window, the usual Roblox trade scams still show up. The classic is the last-second swap — a trader shows the exact Secret or Shine you agreed on, then quietly pulls it for a lookalike right before the Accept, so re-read every slot and confirm the exact animal and its variant before you commit. Ignore anyone pushing a "trust trade," insisting you go first, or dropping a "free animal" website or link, which is phishing every time. Real trades only happen inside the in-game window — and if trade requests are pestering you, you can switch them off in Settings.
Raise Animals trading FAQ
Does TradingKeep charge any fees?
No — TradingKeep is completely free. There are no fees and we never take a cut of your trades.
How does trading Raise Animals items work?
It's item-for-item, player-to-player trading. You post the item you have — and the rolls it came with — plus what you'd take for it. Other players make offers, you accept the one you like, and you complete the trade in-game. No middlemen, no money.
Is any real money involved?
No. TradingKeep is item-for-item only. Real-money and gift-card offers break game rules and are banned here — report anyone who tries.
How does TradingKeep stop scams?
Several ways at once: trade-verified reviews so a trader's history is real, chat that renders every link as plain text so phishing can't land, a dual-confirm step on every trade, and a report system tied to visible outcomes.
What is a "trade-verified" review?
A review you can trust: it unlocks only after a completed trade that both sides confirmed. No drive-by ratings and no review-bombing.
Do my listings expire?
Listings stay live for 30 days and can be bumped every 6 hours to stay near the top. Done trading? Cancel a listing any time.
