Trading rules

SpongeBob Tower Defense trades units player-to-player. Trading unlocks at Level 15, and you swap units unit-for-unit through the in-game trade window (find a partner on the same server). The in-game Coins and Gems aren't the trade unit, so values here are community reference points, not prices. Gamepass perks like the Season Pass, VIP, and speed boosts aren't tradeable units and aren't listed here. Confirm the exact unit in the window before you accept.

SpongeBob Tower Defense is a licensed Roblox tower-defense game where you collect SpongeBob characters as units and swap them with other players. What crosses a trade window is units, one for another — Coins and Gems, the in-game currencies, can't be put into a deal at all, so every trade is a straight unit-for-unit swap, and the whole skill is knowing how one unit stacks up against another. Trading unlocks at Level 15. From there you head to the Flying Dutchman NPC in the lobby, interact with it to pull up the list of players on your server who are open to trade, and send an invite — to someone you lined up a deal with beforehand, or to another player on the same server. A trade window opens, both sides load the units they're offering (up to nine per side), and nothing moves until both players confirm the deal twice.\n\nBecause no currency ever enters a trade, a unit's standing comes from rarity and scarcity, not raw combat stats. Units climb a ladder from Common, Uncommon, and Rare up through Epic, Legendary, and Mythic to the top Secret, Limited, and Exotic tiers, and those top tiers anchor every value list. Scarcity does the rest: the best units are either locked behind astronomically rare pulls or were event-exclusive Limiteds that can no longer be obtained, so their supply stays capped while demand keeps flowing — which is why chase pieces like the Secret-tier Bunker Boys, Redbeard Krabs, and Robot Mantis, or the Limited Olympian SpongeBob, sit far above the everyday units that pour out of common pulls, such as Mr. Krabs or Plankton. Note that permanent gamepasses — Season Pass, VIP, and speed perks — are account upgrades, not tradeable units, so don't build a deal around them.\n\nTwo scams repeat here, and both are beaten by slowing down. The last-second swap is the classic: a trader shows the exact unit you agreed on, then pulls it or drops in a lookalike right before the final Ready step, hoping you confirm on autopilot — so re-read every slot one more time before you commit, and let the game's double-confirm work in your favor. The other is quantity bait, where a pile of low-tier units looks bulky but adds up to less than the single high-tier unit you're giving away. Count the real standing of each side, not the number of units in it. Verify every unit's exact name and rarity against a community value list, confirm you're trading the player you meant to, and treat any list as a shared reference point for how units compare, never a fixed figure.

SpongeBob Tower Defense trading FAQ

Does TradingKeep charge any fees?

No — TradingKeep is completely free. There are no fees and we never take a cut of your trades.

How does trading SpongeBob Tower Defense items work?

It's item-for-item, player-to-player trading. You post the item you have — and the rolls it came with — plus what you'd take for it. Other players make offers, you accept the one you like, and you complete the trade in-game. No middlemen, no money.

Is any real money involved?

No. TradingKeep is item-for-item only. Real-money and gift-card offers break game rules and are banned here — report anyone who tries.

How does TradingKeep stop scams?

Several ways at once: trade-verified reviews so a trader's history is real, chat that renders every link as plain text so phishing can't land, a dual-confirm step on every trade, and a report system tied to visible outcomes.

What is a "trade-verified" review?

A review you can trust: it unlocks only after a completed trade that both sides confirmed. No drive-by ratings and no review-bombing.

Do my listings expire?

Listings stay live for 30 days and can be bumped every 6 hours to stay near the top. Done trading? Cancel a listing any time.
