ASTD Value Tiers and Legacy Units

Обновлено июль 2026 г.

The S/A/B/C ladder

The community value sheet — the one the official wiki links as the value list — sorts every tiered unit into four bands. S is where the chase units live: names like Galaxy Girl, Beardcutter, and Death. A and B fill out the strong-to-solid middle, and C is the entry level, with units around double-digit values that new traders can realistically start swapping the day they arrive.

What "Legacy" means

In ASTD, the only tradeable units are the game's "limited" class — dungeon rewards, event prizes after the event ends, leaderboard rewards, capsule units, code units, Video-of-the-Week and developer units, and retired banner units the developers flag tradeable, each marked with a "T" on its inventory slot. A Legacy unit is a limited unit whose source is gone for good — its banner retired, its event over — so it can no longer be obtained in-game. When ASTD players say a unit is "limited" or "retired," that's the same concept our catalog flags "Legacy," so you can spot them instantly on any listing or value page.

Capped supply is the engine

When no new copies of a unit can ever enter the game, every trade just shuffles a fixed pool between players. That hard cap on supply is one of the biggest long-term value drivers in ASTD, which is exactly why so much of the S tier is Legacy. A still-obtainable unit can always be diluted by the next dungeon run or event; a Legacy unit can't.

The Oddities exception

The Oddities set sits outside the ladder entirely — its values are too unstable for the community to tier, so we show those units untiered and unvalued in the Other tab. They absolutely still trade, but they trade on demand in the moment. Go in with your eyes open and lean harder on recent listings than on any number.

Trading up the ladder

  • Bundle several B or C units toward one A — multi-unit offers are how most climbs happen in a units-for-units market, and with up to 10 slots per side there's room to build them.
  • Pure or high-level copies can bridge a tier gap that base copies can't.
  • Check the Legacy flag before accepting a "same tier" swap — an obtainable A-tier and a Legacy A-tier are not on the same trajectory.
  • Run every multi-unit deal through the Win / Fair / Lose calculator; totals get fuzzy fast when four units face one.
