The values shown here come straight from Terraria's own item data: the rarity tier that colors an item's name in-game, drawn from the official Terraria Wiki's item tables. The ladder runs Gray, White, Blue, Green, Orange, Light Red, Pink, Light Purple, Lime, Yellow, Cyan, and Red, up to Purple at the top of the normal tiers, with the special Amber (quest), Rainbow (Expert), and Fiery Red (Master) tiers marking mode-exclusive rewards. It is the game's own shorthand for roughly how far into progression an item sits — not a live market value.

Read these as community reference points, not prices, and read them loosely. A rarity tier is a color band the developers assigned, and it does not perfectly track how hard an item is to obtain or how badly traders want it — items at the same tier can be worlds apart, and a lower-tier piece like the Terraprisma can out-trade higher-tier ones. Terraria's economy is informal and most items are farmable, so use the tier to get in the right ballpark, weigh in a rare modifier or a hard-to-farm drop, and settle on what feels right to both players.
