Trading rules

Epic Minigames added player-to-player trading in 2024. You swap cosmetic items — death effects, gears, pets, titles, and more — item-for-item through the in-game trade window. The Coins you earn playing minigames aren't tradeable, so the values here are community reference points, not prices. Some items are flagged non-tradeable in-game and are shown for reference only; confirm the exact item in the trade window before you accept.

Epic Minigames comes from Typical Games — the same studio behind Murder Mystery 2 — but it's a different game entirely: a party collection where a lobby of players cycles through dozens of quick rounds. Its trading scene is a separate layer stacked on top, and it runs entirely on cosmetics. Nothing that crosses a trade window changes how you play a round; every item is about how you look and what you show off. Five categories change hands: death effects (the animation that plays when you're eliminated, like Abduct, Ascend, or Avalanche), gears, pets that trail you around the lobby, effects, and titles. Trading arrived in the February 2024 update and unlocks once you reach Level 5, after which every deal is struck item-for-item in the in-game trade window. Coins — the currency you earn from winning games and spend in the shop — can never be placed in a trade, so a swap is always one cosmetic for another, with no currency to even out a gap.

What lifts one item above another is rarity, scarcity, and demand stacking together. Anything you can still buy from the shop with coins is common by nature, since anyone with enough coins can own it, so the pieces that pull real interest are the ones with a capped supply: limited event releases and the exclusives handed out through seasonal weekly and monthly leaderboards, which exist in tiny numbers and can never be earned again once their window closes. A death effect or gear that left the game seasons ago holds its demand precisely because no new copies are entering circulation. Build one habit before you plan any deal: confirm the item is actually tradeable. Level-linked titles, group and Premium-exclusive items, and quest items are locked to your account and can't be moved, no matter what someone offers.

The scam to watch for is the classic last-second swap. A trader shows you the exact death effect or gear you agreed on, waits for you to get comfortable, then quietly pulls it and drops in a lesser look-alike right before the final confirm, hoping you click on autopilot. Beat it the same way every time: trade only through the in-game window where both sides lock in, re-read every slot on both sides one more time before you accept, and never hand an item over first on a promise they'll send yours after. Use a community value list the smart way — it's a shared reference point for how sought-after an item is, not a fixed figure a trade has to match. Let it frame the conversation, then judge the actual items in front of you.

Epic Minigames trading FAQ

Does TradingKeep charge any fees?

No — TradingKeep is completely free. There are no fees and we never take a cut of your trades.

How does trading Epic Minigames items work?

It's item-for-item, player-to-player trading. You post the item you have — and the rolls it came with — plus what you'd take for it. Other players make offers, you accept the one you like, and you complete the trade in-game. No middlemen, no money.

Is any real money involved?

No. TradingKeep is item-for-item only. Real-money and gift-card offers break game rules and are banned here — report anyone who tries.

How does TradingKeep stop scams?

Several ways at once: trade-verified reviews so a trader's history is real, chat that renders every link as plain text so phishing can't land, a dual-confirm step on every trade, and a report system tied to visible outcomes.

What is a "trade-verified" review?

A review you can trust: it unlocks only after a completed trade that both sides confirmed. No drive-by ratings and no review-bombing.

Do my listings expire?

Listings stay live for 30 days and can be bumped every 6 hours to stay near the top. Done trading? Cancel a listing any time.
