These numbers are a single community worth score, not price tags. Animal Jam has never had an official value list, so Jammers built their own shorthand: everyday clothing and den pieces are measured in Diamonds (the low end of the scale, 1–15), while rarer items trade in item-staples — spiked wristbands and collars, RIMs, and Betas — which we place on the same scale above the Diamond tier so every item can be compared at a glance. Diamonds are an earned in-game currency used only as a yardstick; they can never enter a trade, so a real swap is always item-for-item, and no number here is a real-money value.
Treat the score as a reference point, not a precise rate. The Diamond tier is exact, but there is no official conversion between spikes, RIMs, and Betas — the community debates the middle — so read the rare-tier ordering as approximate and let the item in front of you settle a deal. Worth also drifts with what's rare, retired, or newly re-released. Use the score to sanity-check whether a trade feels fair, then trust your own read of the two Trade Lists — when both sides feel even to the people actually trading, that's a fair trade, whatever the counter says.
