On a value list every figure is a community reference point — a read on how sought-after an item is next to everything else — not a price and not money, because Anime Vanguards has no in-game trade currency at all. So the useful question isn't "what does this equal" but "roughly which tier is it in." A few forces bend those rankings: unobtainable and vaulted limiteds (and their shinies) tend to sit higher because no fresh supply is entering the pool, yet meta usefulness can override pure rarity — a unit that clears the current Story, Infinite, Boss Rush, Rift, raid, or portal challenge pulls real interest, while a rare unit nobody runs can trade below where the list puts it. To sanity-check a trade, compare the rough tiers each side is offering instead of hunting an exact match, and weigh the whole picture: a lower-ranked meta unit can be a better pickup for you than a higher-ranked one you'll never place. Fold in the one Anime Vanguards catch that trips up newer traders: traits, pities, and skins do NOT transfer when a unit is traded, so any ranking that quietly assumes a strong trait or a shiny only holds if you confirm that status on the live item in the trade window. Watch the timing, too — a unit can jump right after it's vaulted or nerfed and drift once the hype cools, so a listed value can lag the current meta. Read the list as a compass for direction and reasonableness rather than a settled number, and let what you actually need to progress carry the final say on any trade.
