Trading rules
Animal Jam (Classic) has no level or quest gate on trading — any Jammer can trade once it is enabled in Settings. Trades happen in a secure in-game window: open another player's Player Card, browse the items on their Trade List, add your own, and both sides confirm before anything moves. Gems and Diamonds can't be placed in the trade window, so every real trade is item-for-item, and there is no tax or fee. The worth scores here are a community reference point for weighing items, never a price — everyday items are measured in Diamonds (1–15) and rarer items in item-staples (spiked collars, RIMs, Betas), placed on one shared scale.

Animal Jam trading is one of the oldest, richest player economies in kids' online gaming, and it runs entirely on items — never real money. Everything here is Jammer-to-Jammer: you build a Trade List of clothing, den items, pets, and potions you're willing to part with, then meet other players in-game and swap through Animal Jam's secure trade window, where both sides confirm before anything moves. Gems and Diamonds stay in your wallet; a real trade is always item-for-item. (These values describe Animal Jam Classic.)
The worth of an item comes from the community, not a store shelf. Common shop pieces are worth little because anyone can buy them, while the prized end of the economy — Rare Item Monday drops, spiked collars, and original Beta items — has been traded, hoarded, and ranked by players for over a decade. This hub spans that whole ladder: everyday pieces measured in Diamonds, then the rare tiers that trade in item-staples (spiked wristbands and collars, RIMs, and Clothing and Den Betas), all placed on one shared worth scale so you can line any two items up.
This hub collects those community reference points so you can browse by item type, see roughly how Jammers weigh things against each other, and spot a fair swap before you accept. Trade smart: always use the in-game trade window (never a Jam-a-Gram "send first" promise), complete the whole trade at once, and remember the counters here are guides, not guarantees.
Animal Jam trading FAQ
Does TradingKeep charge any fees?
No — TradingKeep is completely free. There are no fees and we never take a cut of your trades.
How does trading Animal Jam items work?
It's item-for-item, player-to-player trading. You post the item you have — and the rolls it came with — plus what you'd take for it. Other players make offers, you accept the one you like, and you complete the trade in-game. No middlemen, no money.
Is any real money involved?
No. TradingKeep is item-for-item only. Real-money and gift-card offers break game rules and are banned here — report anyone who tries.
How does TradingKeep stop scams?
Several ways at once: trade-verified reviews so a trader's history is real, chat that renders every link as plain text so phishing can't land, a dual-confirm step on every trade, and a report system tied to visible outcomes.
What is a "trade-verified" review?
A review you can trust: it unlocks only after a completed trade that both sides confirmed. No drive-by ratings and no review-bombing.
Do my listings expire?
Listings stay live for 30 days and can be bumped every 6 hours to stay near the top. Done trading? Cancel a listing any time.
